In Chinese philosophy, all things are made of five elements and each has a relationship with another element. One element can bring another into being or destroy it. This qigong is based on one element giving rise to another. It is a good way to learn the elements, and the relationship helps you to remember the sequence. Begin with earth, which gives rise to metal, which gives rise to water, which gives rise to wood, which gives rise to fire. We often use this to cool down in class.
First find your balance and focus on your breathing.
